happy hurricane season. i'm in florida now and all this week. stoked on some sleep and some family time. i sold my peter, bjorn & john tickets. I stashed them in a planter outside my apt for my friend sarah to come pick them up later, since i had to cab it to the airport. oh, and happy anniversary for the fall of the berlin wall. let freedome ring. a lot is going on in the world of news and politics -- health care, ft hood attack, and so forth. dang, i can't go into it though now.
A family friend of ours died and went to be with Jesus today. Mallory Code. She was like my cousin. She lived 25 years with cystic fibrosis and all kinds of other health complications, but still her death was awfully abrupt. Lord, comfort the Code family.
amazing last night. my brother nate in manhattan and i got to take him to my basement bar, the cabin down below. kyle flynn too. we nabbed the coveted booth. rubano and a few other met up and we had a classic hang with drinks and laughs and stories and great music. then took a cab out to sacaucus, nj where the bus was parked, got to bed in the back lounge about 4:30. and this was the jam of the night... (pronounced pen-yat-ay)
today, atlanic city (above pic). anberlin, taking back sunday and all-american rejects. casinos and boardwalks and sad, money-burning old people. hanging on the bus watching the football, (and working too), the bucs wore cream-sickle orange and won their first game of the year! tonight, we head back to new york. wish i could hang with the guys tomorrow and hit the peter bjorn & john show, but i have flight to orlando at 1. oh well, no complaints, a lot has worked out the past 24 hrs.
