This vintage photograph is in honor of the birthdays of my little sister Camille + my (honorary) little sister, Logan. BFFs. Camille's birthday was 3 days ago, Logan's birthday is 3 days away. Cheers, Ladies. Fun shot huh? It's Dorothy Sebastian (twenties and thirties actress and then girlfriend of Buster Keaton) and... wait are they both her? (oh, and an Emily Wells song as a little background music.)
Ok and this is dang GORGEOUS -- a live performance by the SO talented Alicia Keys. You know the chorus well, but you've never heard it like this. It's Empire State of Mind, Part II (probably the original though). It was really nice of her to load it to Jay-Z. Sorry J, this is better. ...Another video for chills/tears, if you're so inclined...WATCH THIS. Dang, I love her. And my home the past 3 yrs.
Camille's Good Morning America footage is HERE. She's the one in the read suit and swim cap. Ha. Happy Autumn. (even though the photo above feels very summery). Enjoy THIS. It's is clever and funny and dumb.
// How am I just now coming across David Vandervelde? Like a Tennessee version of T.Rex for for the new millennium. Not every song is this good, but dang is this song good. // My little sister and her team will be featured on Good Morning America today (Friday). You can see her in this video clip for now (last girl to jump in the pool, then it shows her face up close, as she's in the water...) I don't even own a TV. // My Post Office wins! WORST in the world. Nobody mail me any packages USPS, thanks. The stories I could tell. You don't even know. But everyone around here does. If this were a private business it would have gone out of business and been replaced long ago. Free Market dynamics deal perfectly with incompetence like this, but no, the Post Office is GOV'T run. And up next, Government health-care. Cheers. // I just bought organic milk that expires on my birthday. What? Jan 8th? Does milk really last that long?
thanks, erica, for the heads-up ("this made me think of the Young family and their love of bicycles :)" yup, perfect. i might have teared up a bit...now back to editing erica's wedding! here's a peek, as a thank-you...
do these pictures and this video fit in the same post? haha, sure. they do in my world. // http://parkeryoung.net/wedding book me for for 2010 wedding.
funny how the temper trap's "fools" verse melody rips off their own "sweet disposition", but as it plays out, i suppose it becomes it's own song. i like them both.
